Management of Lymphoedema

Although Lymphoedema is not curable, the condition can be managed by an intensive course of combined decongestive therapy. This usually includes Manual Lymphatic Drainage (MLD) therapy and/or Bandaging.

Once the condition is brought under control in this way, it can be maintained with a combination of skin care, exercise, simple lymphatic drainage, MLD and hosiery - some of which may be available through the NHS.
